Yoshida Yoshihiko (nihonga painter; 1912–2001)</br>
Nihonga painter from Tokyo. Yoshida studied with Nakata Unki, a painter of the literati style, and later with Hayami Gyoshū and Kobayashi Kokei. He worked as an assistant to Hashimoto Meiji in the copying of the mural paintings of the Golden Hall of Horyuji temple. Yoshida received the Minister of Education Award, the Prime Minister's Award, the Mainichi Art Award, and the Imperial Award of the Japan Art Academy. Professor Emeritus of Tokyo University of the Arts. Chairman and councilor of the Japan Art Institute.
